Home Groups and Pastorate
Our Home Groups are central to the life of St. Mark’s and are places where we can really get to know one another, study and pray for each other.
The Pastorate is a group formed mainly from those who had completed an Alpha Course and want to continue learning about the Christian faith together.

Pastorate
Our Pastorate meets once a fortnight on a Thursday evening from 7.30-9.30pm at 67, Wordsworth Place. This is a group formed mainly from those who had completed an Alpha Course and wanted to continue learning about the Christian faith together.

The evening begins with a meal and conversation. It continues with worship, a short talk, some discussion of questions arising from the talk and biblical text and finishes with prayer.

The aim of this group is to provide an opportunity for us to move on in our faith and at the same time develop Christian leadership in those who have joined the church more recently.

By maintaining the Alpha pattern of a meal first and talk afterwards the group has a more structured approach within which everyone can feel at ease and new members quickly made welcome.

This term we are looking at Great Stories of Good News  (follow link for term programme) and for further details, please contact: Mark, Dave - or Richard and Anna (249710).

Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team consists of six members plus the team leader (Leibidh Algar). Its main aim is to provide pastoral support for any members of St. Mark’s congregations who may need it.

Members of the Pastoral Team are drawn from both Sunday congregations and regular liaison is made with members of the Wednesday service.

The team meets on a regular basis for training and communicating needs.

Home, and as the occasion arises, hospital, visits are made and on-going support provided where necessary.

If you know of any particular need, please Richard Coldicott 01403-260435.

Prayer Groups
Members of the Prayer Ministry team are available every Sunday at the 9:00 am and 10:45 am services to pray in complete confidence with anyone who would like prayer for themselves or for others.  Some people come with healing needs, though prayer ministry may cover any need.

Prayer For Families
This small group meets on a monthly basis in the Church hall. In our time together we aim to make space in our busy lives to stop and re-focus our lives around God, share our prayer needs and support one another.
We give thanks to God for the many blessings received in answer to prayer. We also give thanks for the encouragement and support we receive from one another.
We would be delighted to welcome new members.
