they are more valuable to the SDA intact.

Fundraising
Thank you for helping the foster families
supported by St Mark's in South Africa. During 2011 a
total of £1,764 was sent to them and e-mails have been
received expressing their gratitude - please look at the
notice board.
You can continue to help by saving small
change, which raised the sum of £115 last year (there is
a pot at the back of church), by purchasing greetings
cards (to be found under the notice board) and by
supporting events during the year.Thank you.
Message of thanks from
Honor Locke
Many thanks to all of you
who responded so immediately to my request for jam jars.
I now have plenty for the time being. I’m sure you
would like to know that the sale of jams etc has raised
£700 so far for St Mark’s Church. The first £400
was used to help refurbish St. Mark’s House and £300 to
date has gone to a fund for new technology which I
think we all realise needs to be updated.
Your
support for this small project is much
appreciated. Honor Locke
Pastoral Team
The Pastoral Team consists
of six members plus the team leader - Leibidh Algar.

provide pastoral support for any members of St Mark’s
congregation who may need it.
Members of the Pastoral
Team are drawn from both Sunday congregations and
regular liaison is made with members of the Wednesday
service.
The team meets on a
regular basis for training and communicating needs.
Home, and as the occasion
arises, hospital, visits are made and on-going support
provided where necessary.
If you know of any
particular need, pleasecontact Richard Coldicott , Team
Vicar 260435 or by email

Prayer for
Schools - This
group meets once a month on a Friday (usually the
first Friday of the month).
It provides an opportunity
to pray for any concerns or issues in our local
schools. All welcome.
Further information from Dawn Catten Tel: 262257
Prayer For Families - This small group meets
on a monthly basis in the church hall. In the busy
lives we all lead, the group aims to make space to stop
and re-focus our lives around God, share our prayer
needs and support one another. They give thanks to God
for the many blessings received in answer to prayer.
They also give thanks for the encouragement and support
received from one another. New members always welcome.
